Kevin created a cartoon series for the Westhavens a scifi family that lives in an era where earth is a distant memory. The kinds posess powers where they dream and become dragons and bots as they go thru adventures to help the universe. These characters live in the galaxy in far-future scenarios, the galaxies inhabitants have developed technology that depends on both flora and fauna. There is a symbiotic relation ship between nature and technology . The youth(some are dragons,some are cyborgs,some are humanlike some are animalistic morphed state species) lives in harmony in a world in which nature of that planet provides everything (even computers grow from seeds), earth is a far far far past legend to the characters. Adventure is the norm! Every element on the periodic table including elements like metals gases and molecular interactivity exists! buildings and skyscrapers or dwellings are grown. the characters live in a fantastical magical world!

This was the case with "Bronze Barons," the latest in a slew of Hollywood blockbusters that takes the premise of a comic from a bygone era and places it in a setting that is reminiscent of the past while embracing the future.
The movie titled Bronze baron I am directing has several bands and orchestras . I orchestrated the green district band in the movie. here is an excerpt that from movie news.
"Bronze Barons" is based on a fantasy comic strip that was popular among a some Chicago youth in the early-to-mid 20th century. This strip is unique in that it offers a perspective on fun loving creative kids and technically advanced teens of Black America that was rarely embraced in war-era U.S.
Bronzeville was referred to as the "Black Metropolis" thanks to the Great Migration of African Americans from the south to the north. Many settled in this Chicago neighborhood where they created a new home, away from the oppression of the deep south. Residents of Bronzeville and the surrounding areas found great prosperity. Education was and still is embraced in Bronzeville. The area was home to the country's first African American female pilot, the first African American awarded the Pulitzer, co-founder of the NAACP and many artists and musicians.
Too often, Hollywood has depicted early 19th century Chicago as a haven for gangsters while ignoring the social and cultural influence that has inspired generations of young American born people to reach for their dreams, fight for equality and achieve inclusion in all aspects of life.
Kevin Watson understood the importance of Bronzeville as a significant part of African American history. A native Chicagoan born and raised in the south side neighborhood of Hyde Park, Watson knew the value of precise research when planning and writing this underground superhero world, he rented a pre-production studio in Bronzeville . He worked on his original screenplay for three years in order to champion the best of the community while also forging a vision of a superhero tale that could be embraced by movie-goers of all races and ethnic backgrounds. Not only has Watson written the original screenplay, he has also composed the score and is tapped to direct this multi-million dollar film. As a self-confessed "superhero geek," Watson's vision is on track to be the next Hollywood blockbuster.

As a result when the documentary by jill Campbell was being made i was not only able to contribute my exclusive footage to it i was asked by Kenny, the investors and Jill Campbell the director to be a part of it the project. At that time I Was employed as the Chief technology Officer and New media director of Attik, THE BEST broad cast design company of that era and after . I commuted on the aircab between ny and sf (silicon alley & Silicon valley) creating the technical and creative vision for broadcast design branding and interactive accounts i won for the company.
I remember around the time before I filmed campaign I saw Jill scott perform at Bimbos for the first time initially( I knew she was a best of breed talent and songstress like a Kim Burell and a Eriykah Badhu mixed together with the street smarts of a Mary j Blige & Faith Evans several months later she was fully blown up.
i later learned one of my favorite actresses Rita Hayworth also performed at Bimbos in SF back in the day such rich artistic history.
The day i filmed the campaign i had to ditch 3 programmers a project manager, my flash and database expert and a designer who worked under me and our camera documenter. But it was worth it.
My staff was at Microsoft headquarters during my shoot doing research with the ultimate tv team (because we won the Microsoft account that year and i sent my team to the meeting without me to shoot the campaign but i told them to bring cameras so one day ill post the link of the Microsoft meeting my staff had here) lol. for Sure! history the notes.
Heres some behind the scene footage when i was Chief Technology officer and New Media Director of Attik at our headquarters. t was a cool job at 26 to make a salary of 180,000 a year a chief executive at a leading broadcast design company with the assignment of closing broadcast deals and coupling them with web and interactive solutions all while running the mundane daily task of launching a full interactive department n sf and nyc to facilitate deals i was closing, i closed over 6 million in business in 2000 at Attik . products we eventually completed made history, the first year sopranos won an emmy my team worked on teh sopranos website with HBo months before the award. one fabulous day job led to me being on a national billboard for Coors because i was in the right place and right mind state at the right time with the right people knowing what I was doing in the right era all while i was simply being my self.

i would never imagine I would be in a national ad campaign on a beach scene with 2 fly west coast dime pieces at 26 years old with my shirt off. that is like totally the ad i would have drawn for myself in art class at my catholic school in the south side of Chicago (HYDE PARK to be exact) I would have drawn that in college or today ..lol. nevertheless it was more fun realizing that my role as a leader in the .com community in san francisco had soo much impact i was not even a raper or a professional athlete or a rocker, i was a kid from the south side of Chicago who got paid for his ideas and still do. That year i believe Ice cube and or Jamie Foxx appeared in the :30 tv spots i was on billboard representing fly american youth culture.

The shapes and colors were Inspired and evolved rom vintage patterns colors and shapes in fabrics made in Africa. the options were exclusively created as concepts for a new women's product assortment. My team and I created numerous options of identities for the B Reine client to choose from. after designing multiple ideas the client chose one which reflected the brands values in this era and the future.

Since the shoot Netflix, comedy Central and a host of global networks have syndicated it and broadcast this unique comedy production worldwide to over 62 million viewers and counting. To date Katt Williams American Hustle its one of Netflix's highest watched comedy movies.
Additionally Kevin Watson the chicago born and raised creative director was tasked with securing all of the Chicago shoot locations, radio promotions , show marketing and cinematography. Snoop Dogg and Da brat performed and beyond the shoot the live show sold out at the Arie crown theatre for 2 days straight.
The comedy movie concept was after being convinced by executives to do one thing katt does his own and leaves the comforts of his west coast comfortable player life and takes his Kattalac (vintage 50s cadillac) and comedy krew of besties with his dog on a road trip to Chicago to sellout shows in between all while its being promoted in Chicago's inner cities !

Skinceuticals: http://www.skinceuticals.com/ - my take on them: they are the closest to Skinmedicas business model than any of the the other competitors because they sell in office and online. I like their site, I feel it's clean and easy to navigate. And it's on-trend and very "today". But, I feel their brand is sterile and they expect too much from the consumer – meaning I think their passive way of educating her about science and skin (they actually have downloadable clinical studies on their site) is too presumptuous. I don't think she gives a shit.
Obagi: http://www.obagi.com/ As you'll see, they use "real" women and to the point of ad naseum. While I like the idea, they over-do it. It's like a Dove ad gone bad. With that said, they don't have much else to talk about online because you can't buy their product online. I hear that's changing though. However there are things on their site I like, their navigation is clean and easy to navigate and I like the messaging tone.
Loreal: http://www.lorealparisusa.com/ While they are NOT a competitor, wow. Their smart. Just take a cruise around their site, you'll know what I mean. This is what skinmedica should be when it grows up. Love the tools, the tone, the smart and dynamic messaging. And of course they have the money to have every beautiful celebrity featured throughout their site. But they also use older celebrities. Love that.
Vichy http://www.vichyusa.com/: NOT a competitor, but they have a cool skin analysis tool. Look for the blue button in upper right of home page. I like the depth of their questions and their visual queues to get you through the analysis.
Amazing what i am able to quantify when analyzing competitors . usually i design with innovation and long term thinking in mid. thats why the site exists today and it expands elegantly.

I create the entire concept i was given a blank store and a budget and was sent off to create the worlds first automated movie rental store. this was before netflix in soho ny on houston street between broadway and west broadway. pretty soon movie rental stores were all around manhattan ny then netflix killed the biz, but it was innovative at the time. even major pharmacys had areas i designed.
i shot these images and created the show packages for the network.

While in college at Boston university I created the worlds first interactive music themed phone card. featuring news from baileys broadcasting network. and internation l time provide d by innovative telecom. Also featuring images of rappers drawn by my culture. Reginald Jolley i commisioned him to create the art for my cards.. i sold them in Boston in the late 90s they were soo successful source magazine featured my product in the flavors o the month. later on a few years later he designed the munchies logo for my retail store in Brooklyn.

my second retail stor ei shared a stor ein soho with mikayel tesfaye and the ronsons as i designed this space that was at 493 franklin avenue in Booklyn ny. The Brooklyn Chamber of Commece even had meetings there in the year 200 and 2001 great legendary rappers like lord Jamal from the legendary ra group Brand nubiam Marley marl tons of firemen kids and police officers signed the walls and enjoyed fresh foods a cafe in the hood of Bedstuy but it was across from a library and train station and a middle school. so it was a success as my first retail store design. art and healthy life combining. i paid for every material in the store out of my pocket. and the rent and staff that ran it a true investment as a designer wanting to experiment with retail as art. and it worked.
multimedia solutions a new jersey cvompany hired me as a lead designer in the mid 2000s to design the Benjamin Moore website, our team also coded i t. We visited the headquarters and that year sample bottles were created. also the branding studies and meetings we had at that time allowed us to convince all departments to speak from one brand identity.

I studied Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. I was a deans host and on the school cover student guide my sophmore year!
After signing my licensing deal with Renaud page, Ed Hardy & Tatoo drink I used my license to created my own Vodka.
While waiting for the appropriate permits and my bottles to be manufactured etc ,I designed trade show and event spaces for Christian Audigier & Renaud Page and i continued to run my creative consultancy serving clients. while spending 2 weeks a month in ed hardy headquarters to even bigger headquarters thru my product launch.
I also signed deals to get Ed hardy and chrisian audigier products approved for airing globally on Viacoms VH1 shows & Mtv Shows . I even appeared on Vh1 s top rated premier wearing the brand i got clearance to wear in several episodes and every show followed suit
These efforts blew up the brand and i used that leverage introducing the new liquor product while consumers wee following and listening to the ted hardy global trend.
Bulldog beverages was formed by one of my jewelers because he wanted in. My jeweler Ron in nyc saw my sketches for the vodka bottle and knew I was working with mixologists and learning the law . He said he can secure distribution if i can prove i have a licensing deal with Ed hardy in La for a Vodka.
After his attorney reviewed my signed agreements and my attorneys did their diligence to validate he could get my vodka in distribution. he had a deal we brought him in to manage the product full time as Bulldog Beverages .
It took over 2 years to make my ed Hardy Vodka and 6 months designing the bottle. I remember several months after i signed I was invited to Christian Audigiers new home at that time to give samples to our friends biz partners and guests. I literally used a funnel and a cup his wife gave me to pour liquor from my 5 gallon pickle bucket samples of the product. into the generic stock wine bottles i found and since my bottles year 1 were not designed i went with a sticker .
A year later all was in market
